GST Council approves tax rate cuts on hotel tariffs today

The GST Council has approved a proposal to cut tax rates imposed on hotel tariffs above Rs 7,500 to 18 percent, down from 28 percent.

The Council has also approved of cutting the rate on rooms on tariffs below Rs 7,500 to 12 percent
